Veronica Luyo (Peru, 1978) graduated in Sculpture at Universidad Católica (Lima). From 2006 to 2012 she lived in Barcelona, where she has attended at the Production & Artistic Research Master (Universidad de Barcelona). In this city her projects had been shown at the Valls Biennal - Guasch Coranty Prize, Loop ‘10 Videoart Festival (through the selection of the Sala d’Art Jove), 9th Exhibition of Young Art of Mataró, Idensitat #5, among others. Also, she has received a grant from the Institut Ramon Llull for developing an art residence and workshop in Youkobo Art Space (Tokyo). In 2010 she has been part of the Artist in Residence selection of Can Xalant Creative Centre of Visual Arts and Contemporary Thinking. She finished her studies at the Independent Studies Programme of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (Museum Studies and Critical Theory Programme) in 2011.

In 2012, Verónica moved back to Lima where she presented with Álvaro Icaza, “Explorando el espacio vacío intermedio”, an exhibition that gathers some of their collaboration projects developed during their stay in Spain. In the las two years she had presented the solo exhibitions “Apuntes sobre tiempos simultáneos”, “Sobre Lima” and “Documental Perú”. She works as a teacher in the Faculty of Design of Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
