Anna Galeeva

Year of stay:2025

Anna Galeeva (Berlin, Germany) is an art curator who integrates technology into her practice to explore the social architecture of art communities. She employs the "Pure Taste Indicator" (PTI) methodology developed by the Organization for the Democratization of the Visual Arts (ODBK). This approach involves conducting international referendums among institutions, artists, and art enthusiasts to evaluate artworks, aiming to establish a more democratic and transparent art market.

Based in Berlin, Anna specializes in cross-cultural and interdisciplinary projects across Siberia, the Russian Far East, and Europe. She has curated and managed over 120 projects in 15 cities across 5 countries. Since 2022, she has been the curator and manager of Vladimir Kordiukov's contemporary art collection, comprising over 2,000 works, focusing on systematization and cataloging.

As part of the aqb Artist-in-Residence program in Budapest, Anna is conducting the second phase of her research on the Principles of Social Architecture of Creative Communities. She is studying horizontal initiatives in Budapest, analyzing their structures, engagement models, and impact on urban development. The research aims to compare Budapest’s artistic communities with those in Berlin and explore how digital platforms and public spaces influence their sustainability and cultural exchange.

Anna Galeeva's residency was supported by Culture Moves Europe.
