"Gaps in the Void" follows the idea of absolute accumulation, treating sound as events in time that expand from sparse rhythms to dense clouds of sound over a 35 min long journey. Within that period it questions the extremes of auditory perception in terms of spatial traceability and stimulation/over-stimulation.
The material of the piece was recorded live during the 2 week residency and has evolved from a sound-practise that was performed in multichannel setups in the last 5 years.
