MS ARTSY - BUDAPEST 2022-2023
Vienna - Budapest - Vienna
Art action on water, on land and in the air. Analogue and digital.

The multi-level exhibition, which incorporates the Danube region in a cultural, geopolitical and ecological sense, revolves around the underlying idea of the boat journey as a metaphor for a neutral, mobile and liberal territory. The idea that the diverse transfer on the Danube represents an ancient and unifying heritage and that human rights establish our individual liberties is the starting point of the project. The first phase of this art journey begins in the Danube metropolis Budapest with the exhibition of Austrian artists* in the art quarter budapest, a former factory located directly on the Danube, which exudes its own charm and a special atmosphere.

Back in Vienna, the analog artworks will be digitally processed together with employees of the Artificial Museum and positioned as art in public space. The Artificial Museum is a web platform for digital artworks that are entered into a virtual map independently of time and space and made publicly accessible.

The organizer of the art action is the cultural association Rundum. This association has been working for many years at the interface between curation, event production and knowledge transfer. With its work, the association aims to promote and open up urban space for contemporary art, culture and architecture. It is produced and curated by curator Marija Nujic, dramaturg Vanja Fuchs and chairman Georg Demmer. Their goal is to actively counteract accelerated life and return to conscious slowness through a contemporary balance between body, mind and space.
