Dana potter is an American artist who focuses in her artistic practice on combining hand-cut stencils with computer rendered images, exploring the interactions of individuals’ cognitions and machinery, resulting in what we perceive as errors. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking and was the winner of Best of Web award and Creative Projects competitions in 2018. During her residency in Art Quarter Budapest, Potter is working on a project called Proud and Torn, exploring the history of modern Hungary through a family’s photograph collection, tracing the family’s life through the Second World War, the Holocaust, Soviet occupation leading to the 1956 Revolution.
