“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it”

- J. Goebbels, nazi minister of propaganda.

The concept of Propaganda is normally given to visual/audio or written material that comes directly from Political structures to convince the population about specific ideas. It has been used since the first half of the 20th Century to manipulate how the audience perceive actions of their governments. Propaganda was so powerful then, that even after 6 million Jewish corpses, people still thought that racial killing was “fair” and that “it had to be done”. Later on, private companies started using Advertising to sell products, the Berlin Wall fell and more than ever it was proven that the “American” way of life was the best. We all welcomed a globalized world and believed that we were happy and free. Reality in the present is that while all of us are trapped on a daily life fiction (debt, created conflicts, soccer, buying new things that we do not need) corrupted politicians all over the world, businessmen and financial institutions are taking our resources away. Our capacity to be free (truly free) is being diminished day by day.

I see art as the last tool, to make us think and debate these ideas.
