Cornelia Pazmandi is a Munich-based musician, cultural manager, and curator. She co-founded ZIRKA, a space for interdisciplinary cultural work, where she has been developing artistic programs and organizational structures since 2022. Her curatorial practice focuses on performing arts, literature, and interdisciplinary projects that promote democratic and feminist approaches to cultural work. In April 2025, she will launch Aquarium at ZIRKA, a space for exhibitions, performances, and curatorial projects.
As a musician and producer, she composes music for independent art projects and theater productions, most recently at Schauspiel Frankfurt. Furthermore she has been releasing music with her avant-garde pop project Tiger Tiger, which explores themes of societal responsibility through lyrically complex and experimental compositions.
In 2024, she received an international fellowship from the City of Munich to deepen her research into critical and intersectional curatorial practices. As part of her short residency at aqb in Budapest in March 2025, Cornelia Pazmandi will explore the role of independent art spaces in fostering cultural exchange and navigating political frameworks. She aims to gain insights into how these spaces respond to political and societal challenges while maintaining their artistic and community-driven missions. Her research also focuses on shared strategies for sustaining independent cultural work and fostering long-term collaborations between Budapest and Munich.
