Az aqb művészeti rezidencia-programja a szlovák, lengyel és cseh partnerekkel közösen új pályázatot hirdet Magyarországon alkotó művészek számára. A kiválasztott művész két hónapos rezidenciát kap a sopoti Goyki 3 Art Inkubatorban 2026-ban, valamint meghívást az art quarter budapestben megrendezésre kerülő záró kiállítására és fesztiválra 2027-ben.
Mítoszok dekonstrukciója
A Visegrádi Alap által támogatott projekt célja a V4 régió nemzeti identitásai szimbolikájának dekonstrukciója és újraértelmezése nyolc művészeti rezidencia, kiállítás és egy közös esemény keretében. A résztvevő művészek a helyi szcénák kurátorainak és szakértőinek támogatásával hozhatnak létre műalkotásokat vagy fejleszthetnek performanszokat.
A projekt partnerei: art quarter budapest, KAIR Košice, Goyki 3 Art Inkubator (Sopot), MeetFactory (Prága).
A program azt vizsgálja, hogy a művészet és kultúra miként használható hagyományos szimbólumok leegyszerűsítésére és politikai üzenetekké alakítására, gyakran azok eredeti jelentésének eltávolításával. A projekt célja, hogy a kortárs, független művészeti gyakorlatokon keresztül újraértelmezve az ikonográfiákat és narratívákat, megkérdőjelezze a félelemre, érzelemre és hamis egységre épülő új mítoszokat, és alternatív perspektívákat kínáljon, amelyek összetettségen, sokszínűségen, kontextuson és művészi szabadságon alapulnak.
A Goyki 3 Art Inkubator független, interdiszciplináris kulturális intézmény Sopot városában, Lengyelországban. Rezidencia-programja a kreatív folyamat támogatására és a különböző művészeti diszciplínák közötti párbeszéd elősegítésére fókuszál.
A rezidencia tartalma:
- szállás Sopotban;
- saját stúdió a Goyki 3 Art Inkubator-ban;
- egyszeri oda-vissza utazás a magyarországi tartózkodási helyről Sopotba;
- havi 1000 euró támogatás a rezidenciával kapcsolatos költségekre, per diem és művészi díj formájában;
- kurátori támogatás és részvételi lehetőség kulturális tevékenységekben, pl. kiállítások, nyitott stúdiók, performanszok, stúdiólátogatások stb.;
- szakértői támogatás a projekt témájához kapcsolódóan.
A rezidencia időpontja:
2026. március 2. – április 30.
A rezidencia nem bontható több részre.
A jelentkezőnek az alábbi feltételeknek kell megfelelnie:
- Rendelkeznie kell legalább 2 éves szakmai tapasztalattal a művészeti stratégiák gyakorlati megvalósításában (pl. önálló és/vagy csoportos kiállítások, nyilvános bemutatók, koncertek, performanszok, publikációk stb.).
- Befejezett tanulmányokkal kell rendelkeznie, és a rezidencia ideje alatt nem folytathat tanulmányokat.
- Jó angol nyelvtudással kell rendelkeznie.
- A rezidencia ideje alatt mentesnek kell lennie minden más szakmai kötelezettség alól.
Életkori megkötés nincs.
A pályázathoz szükséges anyagok
- Önéletrajz;
- portfólió legfeljebb 10 oldalban;
- motivációs levél legfeljebb 1800 karakterben, amely tartalmazza a rezidencia iránti motivációt, egy projekttervet és annak megvalósítási ötletét, különös tekintettel a fent említett projektre.
Kiválasztási folyamat:
A jelentkezéseket egy bizottság értékeli, amely az aqb, a KAIR, a MeetFactory és a Goyki 3 kurátoraiból áll.
A bizottság fenntartja a jogot bármely projekt elutasítására indoklás nélkül.
A bizottság döntése végleges és ellene fellebbezésnek helye nincs.
A partnerintézmények fenntartják a jogot a rezidencia felfüggesztésére, rövidítésére, meghosszabbítására vagy elhalasztására.
Jelentkezési határidő: 2026. január 31., a határidő után érkező pályázatok nem fogadhatók el.
A pályázat eredménye legkésőbb 2026. február 16-ig az aqb weboldalán: www.aqb.hu jelenik meg.

Open Call: Deconstructing Myths
Deadline: January 31 2026
The artist-in-residence program of aqb together with the partners from Slovakia, Poland, and the Czech Republic is opening a new call for applications for an artist working in Hungary. The selected artist will be granted a two-month residency at Goyki 3 Art Inkubator in Sopot in 2026 and will be invited to participate in a joint festival and exhibition at art quarter budapest in 2027.
Deconstructing Myths
The project supported by the Visegrad Fund deconstructs and reinterprets the symbolism of national identities in the V4 region within the framework of eight art residencies, exhibitions, and one joint event. Participating artists will create artworks or develop performances with the support of curators and experts from the local scenes. The partners of the project are aqb in Budapest, KAIR Košice, Goyki 3 Art Inkubator in Sopot, and MeetFactory in Prague.
The project explores how art and culture are used to simplify and politicize traditional symbols, often stripping them of their original meaning and turning them into tools of nationalist messaging. By reinterpreting images and narratives through contemporary, independent art practices, the project aims to challenge new mythologies built on fear, emotion, and false unity, and to offer alternative perspectives rooted in complexity, diversity, context, and artistic freedom.
Goyki 3 Art Inkubator is an independent, interdisciplinary cultural institution of the city of Sopot in Poland. Its residency program focuses on supporting the creative process and fostering dialogue between artists from different disciplines.
The residency includes:
- accommodation in Sopot;
- a separate studio at Goyki 3 Art Inkubator;
- one-time roundtrip transportation from the place of stay in Hungary to Sopot;
- a monthly stipend of 1000 EUR for expenses related to the residency, dispersed as per diem and artist fee;
- curatorial support and involvement of the resident in cultural activities in Košice such as exhibitions, open studios, performances, studio visits, etc.;
- expert support relevant to the project theme.
Residency dates:
The residency will take place from March 2 to April 30, 2026.
The residency cannot be completed in several parts.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrate professional experience in the practical implementation of artistic strategies for a minimum of 2 years (including completed solo and/or group exhibitions, public presentations, concerts, performances, publications, etc.).
- Must have completed their studies and must not be enrolled in any studies during the residency.
- Must have a good level of English.
- Must be free from professional commitments for the duration of the stay.
There is no age limit for the call.
The application, written in English, must include:
- CV;
- a portfolio of not more than 10 pages;
- a motivation letter of not more than 1800 characters with a motivation for the residency, a project proposal and an idea for its implementation, in particular with regard to the above mentioned project.
Selection procedure:
The application will be reviewed by a committee composed of the curators of aqb, KAiR, MeetFactory, and Goyki 3.
The committee reserves the right to reject any project without giving reasons for its decision. The decision of the committee is final and cannot be appealed. The partner institutions reserve the right to suspend, shorten, extend, or postpone.
The deadline for applications is January 31, 2026, inclusive. Applications sent after this date will not be accepted for the selection procedure.
The results of the call will be published no later than February 16, 2026 on the aqb website: www.aqb.hu.
