The basic structural elements of the Voices & Words are the sound, the voice and the text/word. These elements in the works of both artists are treated in two ways: as a direct mediators of the meaning, and as artistics statement which comment on the 'here' and 'now'. Some of the works are executed in a medium that includes the image (video, installation, photography), but the basic transfer of idea in all works, takes place via voice/sound /text.
The main preoccupation of Kata Mijatović's works is reconsideration of the complex relationship between the conscious and unconscious ‘self’, their dichotomy and interaction. Zoran Pavelić primarily explores the influence and relationship between different geo-political, cultural, mass media and the position of artists and art in today's society, in the local and broader surrounding.
