We invite you to The Last Commune — a collective dreaming session centered on queer futurity. Through somatic practice, role play, storytelling, and collage making, we will explore and imagine alternative futures grounded in our shared desires, struggles, and longings.
This gathering is a space to rest, reflect, fabulate, and transform together — a space where unfelt wishes and not-yet-articulated hopes can take shape.
Contributions from this session — speculative visions, embodied characters, utopian fragments — might feed into mockumentary film, constructing a fictional archive of a commune that never was, or has yet to be. The film becomes a rehearsal for possible futures — ones that challenge dominant narratives of crisis, violence, and exclusion.
Recognizing the systems that often marginalize and constrain us, this space gently invites other ways of imagining:
How might our concrete needs become possible fictions?
How could we dream up structures that are less violent, more caring, rooted in interdependence?
We will make space for stories full of beginnings — connecting, pausing, confusing, listening.
This space is created by and for queer folks. Come co-create. Come co-dream.
The workshop will be held in English. Participation is free, but the number of participants is limited to 12. Registration is required via email at aqbudapest@gmail.com.
