Partly a metaphor, partly a methodology,
Dancing (And Other Variations) is an exploration of hypothetical dances and liminal spaces through endless scripts and physical displacement.

Hayden Bouvet is a performer, choreographer and costume designer based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He is currently finishing his bachelor's degree in choreography at SNDO- School of New Dance Development.

His work investigates the deconstruction of traditional modes of narration and poetic impossibilities through movement, speech and written text. By seeing language not as a transparent vehicle of communication but as a site of endless deferral, meaning become spatial and unstable, both anchors and misdirections.

Playing with detaching the subjectivity from the subject allows him to dismantle the authority of identification and to explore how it reshapes the possibility of relation on a social and existential level.

His works has been shown at Under500 festival and Veem house for Performance.
As a performer, he worked with choreographers like Adrienn Hòd, Jenna Jalonen, Xiao Cheyue, Sancha Meca Castro, Edith Dekyndt and Csaba Molnar.

As a costume designer, he worked on the production of Elias Klark, Thalia Livingstone, and Helene Ridderberg.
