The exhibition organized from the works of the artists in the house does not suppose to show a coherent image. It seems that the works of the artists in AQB and that of the international residents were finding their place arbitrarily next to each other. The starting point in these cases is the house as a shared space and the difference as well as diversity rather than similarity. However, it is hardly to be argued that the artworks do not like destroying the chain of difference; they apparently tend to make connections to each other. Sometimes the feeling of difference failes to work or it is delayed. In the process of organizing the exhibition we wanted to make this pause a bit longer. The show is basically a collection of artworks that have been produced since the first edition of Nuit Blanche, in June. Each one has its own context and language. Yet, the aggregate of the pieces is not simply the sum of particular islands. The works are also experimenting with the discursive space of the exhibition. It is not only the freshness, the beginning or the debut that keep us excited but also the first experience to see the works unfolding next to each other.
