Songül Karakoç (b. 1991, Istanbul) is a visual artist working with lens-based media and performative narratives.

Her practice engages with concepts of trust, communication, and belonging through close attention to human gestures, micro-interactions, and everyday behaviors, moving between staged situations and spontaneous encounters. She is also drawn to peripheral spaces and abandoned objects as recurring sites of observation.

She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and held her first solo exhibition “Have A Seat” in Amsterdam in 2025.

She holds an MA in Graphic Design from Yeditepe University (2018), following a BSc in Mathematics–Computer Science with a minor in Graphic Design from Bahçeşehir University.

Alongside her artistic practice, she works remotely as an art director and lives and works in Istanbul.
