Eleni Onasoglou is a photographer and writer based in Syros, Greece.

Her work explores memory, the fractured and constructed past, and the fragile tension between human presence and the natural world. Through a stark black-and-white
visual language, she focuses on silence, darkness, and the traces that reveal what remains hidden or unresolved.

She has presented her work in both solo and group exhibitions in Greece and internationally, most recently with her solo exhibition Photographs from a Past that
Never Existed. Her practice engages archival material, oral histories, and latent narratives, examining how absence, time, and mortality shape personal and collective experience.

As a writer, she recently published her book The Star Experiment and Other Stories with Iolkos Publishers, expanding her photographic practice into literary
form.

Her work seeks to illuminate the quiet spaces where memory dissolves, identity fractures, and the unseen comes to the surface.

Eleni’s residency is in collaboration with Capa Center through FUTURES European Photography Platform supported by Creative Europe program.
