Zoë Carlon is an artist from the UK, based in Leeds. During the residency, she creates a new series of oil paintings and drawings that continue on from her on-going practice research into ‘non-places’, she has started during the Erasmus study in Budapest in 2015-16, where she was, and continue to be, significantly influenced by the city’s many public ‘non-place’ environments.
Her practice considers the structure and conditions of ‘non-places’ and their unique position as environments that have no historical or personal connection to our human lives.
