Marcela Reyes is currently an MFA Candidate in Intermedia Studio at The University of Texas at Arlington.

"As someone who has moved from place to place, I am intrigued by the ability of our body to adapt to different environments and how this adaptation make us change, not only physically, but also psychologically. Some of the materials I use are found objects, cloth, photography, and thread. There is usually sewing involved because thread and sewing materials are objects from my life before moving here, a connection to past generations of women who have used these materials as something to survive."
