aqb resident artist Oľga Paštéková explores the connection between humans and animals, as well as between nature and civilization, through mystically illuminated, myth-inspired landscapes filled with symbolism. Her work speaks in whispers of transformation, memory, and forgotten worlds.

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, Paštéková also studied under Daniel Richter at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Slovakia and across Europe, and has been active in art-environmental and charity initiatives. She was a three-time finalist of the Painting of the Year award and longlisted for the Strabag Artaward International 2022. Oľga currently lives and works in Bratislava and Vienna.
